The Tech Department hosts Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. High end, business class VoIP phone systems are available with per minute plans or unlimited usage plans (Canada/US).
Our primary servers reside in the same facility where calls are terminated to the regular phone network (PSTN). We also have a redundant connection to another PSTN termination provider over their IP network. Our backup servers are located in a separate facility, and again, with termination to multiple providers.
Our per-minute plans are great for small business, and range from $0.02/minute with no contracts required. In most cases, a per minute plan will save the average small business (1 or 2 lines) 50% or more from the local telephone company.
Unlimited local calling plans are also available, with a low-rate long distance calling. This is similar to your service from the local telephone company, but it includes all calling features such as voicemail (with recorded messages are emailed to users), unlimited extensions, and even an IVR if you wish.
